Light a candle and pray Jesus light of the world come into our darkness and be our hope!
Read Isaiah 64:1-4
The Isralites waited to be rescued from Egypt for 400 years. They waited 40 years to enter the promise land. Here in Isaiah we can see what it is when God shows up. God is truly awesome and he does awesome things.
Here in Isaiah is an expectant prayer for God to come down and intervene in our lives. With the faith to believe that God does indeed interact in our lives.
Create a list of areas where you are still waiting for God to act in your life. Maybe these are prayers that you've had for years, or new ones you just started praying this week. Once you've come up with this list pray about them. Trust that God can and will still move mountains even in some of these seemingly impossible hopes you have. Hope is not always easy. It comes with waiting and there is longing in the wait. May we learn to long for God's action in our life.
Choose to trust God again and expect him to act.
