Light a candle and pray Jesus light of the world come into our darkness and be our love!

Read Exodus 3:1-6

Love and light that Jesus gives us are closely realated. Jesus shines in our darkness with his love, and when his love is present things change.

Love is patient and kind. Remember this as you go about this Christmas season.

Love doesn't have envy and it doesn't boast. Remember this as others have or get what you want.

Love is not arrogant or rude. Remember this as you deal with family members, especially the family members that annoy you.

Love does not insist on its own way. Remember this when you don't feel like serving someone.

Love is not irritable or resentful. Remember this as you forgive others as Jesus has forgiven us.

Love doesn't rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. Let us remember this as we hear stories that people will share with us in the coming weeks.

Love bears all things. Remember this when you are tempted to lash out.

Love beleives all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Let us remember to believe in the love that we have for others and ourselves. It is a gift that the Holy Spirit gives.

We do all this because Jesus gives us his love. We are light because Jesus has shown us his love. Let us remember to live like the love we've been given.

Spend a moment in prayer confessing the areas where love is difficult for you. Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you as you experience the forgiveness that Jesus gives us.
