Light a candle and pray Jesus light of the world come into our darkness and be our hope!
Read Psalm 37:1-9 as a prayer
Psalm 37 is the Psalm of the meek. As it says in Matthew 5:5 is says "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Meek means according to Oxford online dicitonary "Quite, gentle, and easily impossed on, submissive." We need to be all these things before Jesus if we are going to allow Jesus to be our hope.
Where in your life do you need to re-up your trust in Jesus? I belive Psalms to be be prayers, and Psalm 37 prays some powerful things into our life. We pray against worry, or fretting. We ask for trust in God and to do good. We pray for our delight to be in the Lord.
But it also says "Commit your ways to the Lord; trust in Him and he will act."
Spend some time commiting your ways to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you where you need to re-up with Jesus. Jesus If you are doing advent with others, let them know where you need to place your hope in Jesus in a new and fresh way. If you are doing it by yourself share your commitment with someone who is close to you.
The meek need to commit to something because they cannot defend themselves. Spend some time dedicating your hopes to Jesus.
