Light a candle and pray Jesus light of the world come into our darkness and be our joy!

Read Romans 4:13-25

Faith is connected to joy. Joy doesn't need much to thrive. Joy needs to rest in the grace that Jesus provides by faith. Saving grace, but also grace for the day to day of life. We need the presence of Jesus in our life, and if it is there, even if your situation is not the best, we can have joy.

It is not always easy to tap into the joy that Jesus wants to give you, but faith rarely is easy. We need a reminder that Jesus wants joy for us. He sacrificed for the joy that was set before him, and in part the joy that was set before him, was us and the joy we experiance. But we need to remember, we need a reminder. So....

.... Take a clean sheet of paper and use your creativity to create a symbol of joy for yourself this next year. This is something that maybe you could look at and allow it to encourage you. It could be a poem or a song. Put on some music and take some time to create something that will help you abide in the joy that Jesus brings in your life this next year.
