Light a candle and pray Jesus light of the world come into our darkness and be our peace!

Read Matthew 6:25-34

When worry comes into our life it destroys peace. Maybe this is one of the reasons why Jesus keeps telling us to not worry. He invites us to place our trust in him, and to lay down our worries at his feet. In the Old Hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness there is the line: "All I have needeth, Thy hand hath provideth." This is true. This is the level of trust that Jesus is inviting us into, in trust we can walk in the Peace that Jesus has for us. He is shining his light into our darkness to bringing his peace.

Instead of worrying about tomorrow, let us make a plan to trust Jesus tomorrow. Jesus is the light of the world. We need his peace to shine into our darkness throughout the whole year. Today make a plan to keep your his peace alive this next year. Each of us make plans differently, so plan how you need to. If you need some help thinking through this, add a reoccurring weekly reminder into your calendar to keep your hopes. Spend some time and make a plan to keep the peace that Jesus gives you alive.
